The small group ministry of Shady Grove PCA is a vital part of the church. Small groups facilitate the body life of the church, and as the church grows larger it provides members with a deeper sense of belonging to the congregation and an opportunity to develop deep relationships with other Christians. They also provide a method through which new members of the church can be enfolded into caring relationships. Small groups provide a setting in which people can grow spiritually through studying the Bible, praying for each other, worshipping God, and holding each other accountable for spiritual growth. Small groups also afford participants a secure group within which many needs can be shared and, when appropriate, met through the members of the group. In many instances small groups also provide an avenue through which members can engage in service and evangelism and outreach.

New Moms' Fellowship Group (1st & 3rd Tuesday mornings)   NEW!

Meets Tuesday mornings from 10:00-12:00 and is followed by an optional brown bag (bring your own!) lunch. The purpose is to provide a time and a place for moms to have fellowship with one another, pray together, encourage one another, and serve one another. Childcare will be provided from 10:00-12:00. Together we will be reading Stormie Omartian's The Power of a Praying Parent. Young Adults' Study (Tuesday evenings)

Meets every Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the home of Charlie & Kim Baile. Once a month the group will eat dinner together at 6:00 p.m. They will be studying Galatians. Leaders: Pastor Charlie & Kim Baile, 301-947-4174

Prayer & Praise (Tuesday evenings)   NEW!

Meets Tuesday evenings at the Brinsons' from 7:00-8:30 p.m. The group focuses on worship through singing, meditation on the word, and prayer. Call Rob or Christine Brinson at 301-956-1623.

Ladies' Bible Study: Book of Daniel (Wednesday evenings)

Meets some Wednesday evenings from 6:45-8:15 p.m to sing, pray, memorize Scripture, and study the book of Daniel. For more information, contact Chrissy Gecoma.

Germantown Area (Wednesday evenings)

Meets every other Wednesday evening from 7:30-9:00 p.m. Open to anyone (Germantown residency not required!). Meet at various homes and conduct in-depth Bible studies. Child care provided. Leaders: Steve Allen, John Mitchell, Dave Tucker.

Boice Group, Thursday Evenings @ Church

Meets Thursday evenings from 7:15-8:30 p.m. in the Church building. Currently, the group is studying Foundations Of the Christian Faith by James Montgomery Boice. The evening includes study, fellowship, prayer, and service. Leaders: Brian Donahue and Dick & Susie Comerford.

Fellowship Group, Thursday Evenings @ Church

Meets every Thursday evening from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the Church building. The purpose of this group is to encourage one another by recognizing our vulnerability individually and our joy in Jesus together (Hebrews 3:13). Leaders: Steve Hudson and Dan Hackenberg.

"Love and Respect" Group

Meets on Sunday evenings. The curriculum will focus on the "Love and Respect" material that was recently offered in Sunday School. Leaders: Roy & Jan Stacey.

Men’s Fellowship (Saturday Mornings)

This group of men meets in the Church on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month from 8:00-9:30 a.m. for fellowship, study, sharing, prayer, building relationships, and service to the Body of Christ. Currently studying Pastor Tim Keller's discipleship material on the book of Galatians. Leader: Pastor Tom Parker.

Men’s Fellowship (Friday Mornings)

NOW FORMING! Will meet on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month at 6:30 a.m. at the Chik-Fil-A in Germantown. Will be studying Pastor Tim Keller's discipleship material on the book of Galatians. Leaders: John Mitchell, 301-972-1940, and Pastor Andy Pickens, 301-607-6123.

Men’s Fellowship (Tuesday Mornings)

Pastor Baile leads a study on Jonathan Edwards' Religious Affections every other Tuesday at 6:00 a.m. at the McDonalds's near the intersection of Route 355 and Odenthal (near Lakeforest Mall). Pastor Charlie Baile, 301-947-4174.
