BIBLE CONFERENCE
|
Dr. Dick Belcher, professor of Old Testament at Reformed Theological Seminary, Charlotte,
will be teaching on Christ in all of the Psalms over this weekend. Please set aside that Saturday evening.
Dr. Belcher will also be teaching in adult Sunday School and preaching during the service.

PARKERS' 24th ANNUAL
EASTER EGG HUNT
|
Saturday, March 22, at 3:00 at the home of Tom & Priscilla Parker.
Children of all ages are invited and friends are welcome. If you are planning to
attend, please sign up at Sign-Up Central, where you can also volunteer to bring
refreshments. Flyers containing directions to the Parkers'
are available on the information table in the lobby.

CONGREGATIONAL MEETING

Immediately following the morning service in the sanctuary and for the purpose of holding an election of
church officers. Steve Farley has been nominated, examined, and approved by the Session to stand for
election to the office of Ruling Elder. Rob Peterson has been
nominated, examined, and approved by the Session to stand for election to the office of Deacon.

HOSPITALITY LUNCH &
CORPORATION MEETING
|
Congregational spaghetti lunch after church with opportunity to learn more about
our Germantown church plant. To submit your questions ahead of time,
put them in the Hospitality Luncheon container out in the lobby.
Following the luncheon there will be a meeting of the corporation of SGPCA for the purpose of
electing two trustees and to vote on accepting the latest offer from the State Highway Administration
regarding construction of the ICC and its impact on our property.
Details have been sent to you and are also available in the lobby.

CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE

7:00-8:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. A family-friendly carol-filled celebration of the birth of Christ.

CHRISTMAS CAROLING
|
We will gather at Pastor Baile's house at 6:00 for a neighborhood Christmas Carol Sing.
Bring some cookies to share -- we will return to the church and enjoy them with some
hot chocolate afterward.

THANKSGIVING EVE SERVICE
|
Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. in the sanctuary.
Please come and bring family members that
might be in town. This service will be very informal with many
opportunities for you to choose hymns that you would like
to sing and to share words of thanksgiving to the Lord.

CONGREGATIONAL MEETING
|
We will meet immediately after worship to review the budgets,
to approve a change regarding our pastor’s compensation, and to meet Matt Roberts,
the man the Church Plant Advisory Committee has recommended to the
Session as the planter for the Germantown church.
Pastor Baile will also give an update on the Germantown plant activities.

Admission is $5.00/family; guests are FREE. Hot dog dinner from 6:00-6:30.

in a friendly costume and ready for fun!

MISSIONS CONFERENCE

This year's theme is "The Gracious Commission." Speakers include Scott Seaton (MNA);
Bob Wildeman (Fairmont, WV), Israel Contreras (Castanos, Mexico), and Scot Redpath.
Friday Night, 6:15 p.m.: Pizza Dinner at the church followed at 7:00 by keynote speaker
Scott Seaton, MNA.
Saturday: Brunch and dinners with the various missionaries
at the Lokos, Parker, Semple, and Tucker homes.

Sunday Morning: All adult Sunday school classes will meet together. Rev. Seaton
will preach during the service. Congregational lunch and closing session to follow the service.

spruce up our beautiful building and grounds for the fall and winter.

BUDDY GREENE IN CONCERT
|
Doors open at 5:45 p.m. Free concert (love offering accepted) with Nashville recording artist Buddy Greene.
He is a tremendously talented musician who loves the Lord and has a contagious joy, and his
music is for people of all ages. His style is folk and bluegrass, and he plays the guitar and harmonica.
He wrote the music to the Christmas song "Mary, Did You Know?" and he
has released a number of albums, one of his most recent ones being a collection of hymns and
prayer songs. He is a Ruling Elder at Christ Community Church (PCA) in Nashville, TN. Learn more

BLOOD DRIVE, CORNERSTONE FAIR,
EVENING OF TALENT
|
Blood Drive, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.: The Red Cross will be here accepting blood donations to help
replenish their supply. A Blood Donor Sign-Up Schedule is posted at Sign-Up Central and
at the Visitor's Table in the lobby. We encourage you to start signing up, as we need at least 64

Cornerstone Fair, 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.: This event is sponsored by the Cornerstone Youth Group
and is intended for people
of all ages. There will be a petting zoo, moon bounce, dunk tank, food, and much much more!
The cost is $4.00/person or $10.00/family.
Evening of Talent, 6:00-7:30 p.m.: For people of all ages. Go to Sign-Up Central for audition time.

PROMOTION SUNDAY
|
This is the day in the life of our church when our new children's
Sunday School classes begin for the fall. The children and adult classes are combined in the
sanctuary during Sunday School, and the children will file out with their new teachers
at the end of the hour. We also plan to have a Small Group Display in which we promote the new
groups for the coming year.

ALL-CHURCH CAMPING TRIP
|
Once again we will travel to the wilderness of Little Bennett Park for our annual camping trip.
Campsites have been reserved for tent camping. The cost is $25.00 per site.
Sites are also available for pop-ups or RVs.
Families may share a campsite, although note that there is two-car limit per campsite.
We will sing and make s'mores around the campfire on Friday night, and we will have a picnic on
Saturday with games and other activities. This is a great way to meet people and make friends.

BASKETBALL CAMP

A FREE two-day basketball camp being held at the Germantown Community Center,
18905 Kingsview Road, Germantown. Drills, street-style pick-up games, FREE
drinks and food, and a 3-on-3 basketball tournament from 1:00-4:00 p.m. followed by a FREE concert featuring local
hip-hop group ChristCentric on Saturday, August 18. For more information

25TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

2007 June 2 is the 25th anniversary of the first worship service of Shady Grove PCA.
We are going to mark this milestone with a banquet and other celebrations on Saturday,
June 9. We will be giving thanks for God's faithfulness to our congregation over the years
and asking for His wisdom and vision as we look to the future.
